Nissan Quest

Overview
SHIFT_convention™

Show off your individual and embrace possibilities. Reconfigure without ever removing a seat or head restraint again. Count on design with purpose. Revel in exceptional. Explore every day. Be the centre of an extraordinary interior that's built around you. Insist on Bluetooth™. Look up an out through the SkyView glass-paneled roof. It's all here, in a minivan that evolves right along with you. The Nissan Quest - modern space for life.

Exterior

Wheel-oriented Design

SkyView ™
Bring on the sun, the stars, and the comfort. No matter where you’re sitting. Quest goes beyond the conventional sunroof with the available SkyView™ glass-paneled roof that lets rear passengers take in the view, too - or pull the shades.

Door Handle Design Breakthrough Styling
Arrive in style with the Nissan Quest and its sleek grille and front bumper, chrome door handles that adorn every door to create a sporty and sophisticated appearance, and aluminum alloy wheels that have been designed to create a more stylized connection to the road.
Headlight Design

Power Liftgate
Now you can get your things in the rear cargo area easily and quickly. All you have to do is click a button on your keyless remote. Or press a button on the overhead console. Or in the rear of the Quest. Or lift the outside handle. It doesn’t get any simpler than that. (Standard on the 3.5 SL, 3.5 SE)

Auto-sealing Windows Power Sliding Door...and Wide Open
Super Convenient. Super Easy. Dual power sliding doors (see specifications for availability) can be activated via the remote keyless entry system, switches up front by the driver, buttons next to each door or (of course) by pulling on the handles. Also, enter and exit with ease, thanks to the wider door opening offered by the Nissan Quest. Wider in fact, and a great deal more accommodating.
Wiper Sprayers Key Fob
Also known as the remote keyless entry system, unlocks the doors and, when equipped, also opens the dual power sliding doors and rear lift gate, plus automatically moves the driver’s seat, adjustable pedals, and outside mirrors into one of two pre-programmed positions.
Wheel Design

Roof Rails
Pile it on. These roof rails can take it. With 125 lbs of capacity and utility loops for securing items to the accessory crossbars, Quest’s roof rail system frees up the inside for more precious cargo.

Interior

Nissan Quest - Seat Bolsters Seating Configurations
Never remove a seat or head restraint again. Seats up or down, Quest is more flexible than ever when it comes to reorganizing. So that you can embrace spontaneity, seat seven, camp for a week, or redecorate in style. Of course, the 2nd row folds nearly flat. Unlike most other minivans, this 2nd row never has to come out, and neither do the head restraints. Simply fold them down, then drop them into the floor for a nearly flat cargo surface.
Nissan Quest - Racing Steering Wheel Third-Row Flexibility
A third-row bench that couldn’t fold any easier. With the 3rd-row bench up, it offers seating for three and a deep cargo well behind for storage. And when you want more storage, the spring-assisted mechanism lets you fold the seat flat with only nominal effort. And that’s all there is to it, because you don’t even need to remove the head restraints.
Nissan Quest - Shifter Design Cargo Capacity
Maximum cargo versatility. With all rear seats down, there’s even room for items up to 2.5 meters (8 feet) long. That new dining table can be yours tonight. Quest offers more space, more storage for whatever you want to take along.
Nissan Quest - Gauges Custom Storage
As versatile as it is comfortable. Six seatback hooks keep items in their place, while two large dry cleaning hooks make sure you arrive wrinkle-free. Handy overhead storage means paper and pens are always close at hand, and a generous centre console on the SE model gives you even more space for whatever you might need on the road.
Nissan Quest - Programmable Shift Light Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control
Available Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control means front passengers choose their own setting. Even rear passengers have their way with controls of their own.
Nissan Quest - Gauge Cluster DVD Entertainment and Dual Media Playback
Quest is available with one or two flip-down monitors with the fun-for-everyone Panasonic® DVD Entertainment System so conveniently located right in the dash. The possibilities are everywhere in Quest. Screens in each row, packing 8" (203.2 mm) of fun and games, is the surest route to two happy rows. Remote control makes operating easy, and two wireless headphones keep everyone in the loop, or not. Plus, two audio sources can be played simultaneously, thanks to the Dual Media Playback feature.

Bose® Audio System
Entertainment is yours since Quest comes standard with a CD audio system with 8 speakers, featuring RDS and speed-sensitive control. Or choose an available in-dash 6-CD changer with MP3/WMA playback capability. Also available is a 265-watt Bose® audio system* with ten speakers, and six channels of customized equalization. There’s even an auxiliary input jack where you can plug in your iPod® and MP3 player. And XM™ Satellite Radio is standard on the 3.5 SE**. So many musical possibilities, it’s all up to you.

*Digital Bose® audio system standard on the 3.5 SE
**XM™ is a trademark of XM Satellite Radio Inc. and used under licence by XM Canada. Required XM subscription sold separately after three trial months. Reception of the XM signal may vary depending on location. All fees and programming subject to change. Subscriptions subject to terms and conditions available at www.xmradio.ca.

Nissan Quest - DVD-based Nissan Navigation System

Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone System*
Keep your compatible phone linked up with Quest’s audio system. Use your phone without even using it.** The minute you enter Quest, it’s all voice-activated, so you can program in up to 40 numbers and talk away at the touch of a button. There’s even a “memo pad” feature that lets you record messages for playback later.

*standard on 3.5 SE. Available on the 3.5 SL with Panasonic® DVD Entertainment System Package. Panasonic® is a registered trademark of Panasonic Corporation.
**Availability of specific features is dependent upon the phone’s Bluetooth® support. See Nissan.ca for a list of compatible cell phones. Please refer to your phone owner’s manual for details. Cell phone not included. The Bluetooth word mark and logos are owned by Bluetooth SIG, Inc., and any use of such marks by Nissan is under licence.

Nissan Quest - Automatic Climate Control Nissan Navigation System
Find your special-occasion weekend spots, search out the places you need daily, and every stop in between. Pinpoint your location and where you’re going next on either a conventional map or through the patented, 3-dimensional Birdview™. With the available Nissan Navigation System*, you can search for restaurants by cuisine type and even the local points of interest - museums to parks - are called out. Meaning there’s no better way to feel at home, even in unfamiliar territory.

*Factory-installed option. Never program while driving. GPS mapping may not be detailed in all areas or reflect current road regulations. Nissan Navigation System is available on the 3.5 SE with Nissan Navigation System Package.

Driving Dynamics

Nissan Quest Engine An Award-winning Engine
Quest’s 13-time award-winning 235 HP V6 is no stranger to performance. The only engine to be on a ’10 Best Engines’ list every year it’s been given out* features advanced valve timing for smooth, accessible power. Change the fluids and filters regularly and you’ll cover 160,000 km (100,000 miles) before needing a tune-up.** This engine even utilizes a timing chain with no scheduled replacement. In Quest, practicality resides right up alongside performance.

* One of WardsAuto.com’s 10 Best Engines (1994-2007). January 2007.
** Under normal driving conditions with routine fluid and filter changes. See your owner’s manual for details.

Nissan Quest Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control Standard Auto Transmission
Smooth and powerful, when mated with a 5-speed automatic transmission, the power advantage is all yours. Equal parts spontaneous and efficient, it easily wins over your rational side, while giving in to your need for exhilaration.
Nissan Quest - Friction and Weight Reduction Suspension
4-wheel independent suspension is what ensures you’ll have a car-like ride with quick response to steering input. Road-hugging benefits are the work of the multi-link layout with separate rear shocks and springs. And Quest’s long-legged wheelbase promises a solid, stable feel on the road.
Nissan Quest Exhaust System Traction & Control
Traction Control System (TCS), standard in Quest, helps your vehicle better grab on to slippery roads in less than ideal conditions. Just when you need improved traction, this advanced technology helps limit wheelspin during acceleration.

Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) can detect when Quest is “oversteering” or “understeering” and help you stay on your steered path. VDC responds immediately, reducing engine power and redirecting brake pressure to specific wheels where needed. (Standard on 3.5 SE.)*

*VDC cannot prevent accidents due to abrupt steering, carelessness, or dangerous driving techniques, or any other reason. Always drive safely.
Nissan Quest - Carbon-fibre Composite Driveshaft Information Centre
The Information Centre displays the vehicle vital signs, including fuel economy, tire pressure, oil maintenance, and electronic settings. It also displays a trip computer to show driving distance, elapsed time, and average speed.
Nissan Quest - 6-speed Close-ration Manual Transmission Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Keep an eye on tire pressure with the Tire Pressure Monitoring System, (TPMS), located inside on the Information Centre. TPMS will maximize tire longevity, plus increase performance and fuel economy.*

*Tire pressure Monitoring System is not a substitute for regular tire pressure checks.
Nissan Quest - Suspension Rear Safety
Because in plain view isn’t always. And that’s when the available Rear Sonar System1 comes in handy. Emitting a beeping sound when obstacles are sensed behind you up to 2 meters (6 feet) away, and increasing in frequency the closer you get.* Another available feature is the RearView Monitor2 which allows you one more way to see what you might have missed. It’s activated anytime reverse is engaged.* And Quest is the only minivan in its class that offers a centre-screen RearView Monitor without the navigation system.**

1The Rear Sonar System is standard on the 3.5 SL and 3.5 SE and is available on the 3.5 S with Convenience Package.
2The RearView Monitor is standard on the 3.5 SL and 3.5 SE.
*The optional Rear Sonar System and RearView Monitor are conveniences, but not substitutes for proper backing procedures. Always turn and check that it is safe to do so before backing up. The rear sonar system and RearView Monitor may not detect every object behind you.
** WardAuto.com’s Small Van segment, January 2007.
Nissan Quest - Tire Pressure Monitoring System Braking Technology
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) pumps the brakes faster than you could in panic braking situations, helping prevent your wheels from locking up.
Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) sends extra force to the rear brakes when it senses the additional weight of a full load.
Brake Assist (BA) senses how hard you’re braking in an emergency and automatically helps boost it by applying maximum pressure.

Safety

Nissan Quest - 5-Star Rating

Snug Kids®
Another Nissan first. U.S. NHTSA-certified ‘Child Passenger Safety’ technicians have dedicated over 1,000 man-hours to checking over 4,000 child seat installations in Nissans. The result: Not just the first, but also the only one of its kind in the industry, The Snug Kids Child Safety Seat Fit Guide. This guide lists child seats that fit the rear seats of Nissan vehicles, as well as offers invaluable tips on correct installation.

Nissan Quest - Rear Crumple Zone LATCH
Yet another way we’re working to help keep children safe. The Quest LATCH System (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) lets you secure LATCH-compatible child restraints in the second or third row without having to use seat belts or a locking clip.
Nissan Quest - Front Crumple Zone Nissan’s Advanced Airbag System
Surround your loved ones. Nissan’s Advanced Airbag System includes dual-stage supplemental front airbags with seat belt sensors and an occupant-classification sensor. If the front passenger seat is empty, a sensor actually deactivates that airbag. In addition, standard roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental airbags help provide enhanced head protection for front, second - and third-row passengers.* And available side-impact supplemental airbags are built into the front seat, so they move with you.

*Airbags are only a supplemental restraint system; always wear your seat belt. Even with the occupant-classification sensor, rear-facing child restraints should not be placed in the front-passenger’s seat. Also, in addition to any other requirement of applicable law, all children 12 and under should ride in the rear seat properly secured in child restraints, booster seats, or seat belts according to their size. Airbags will only inflate in certain accidents; see your owner’s manual for more details. Inflated airbags shown for illustration purposes only. Actual airbags deflate after deployment.
Nissan Quest - Hood Buckling Creases Zone Body Construction
Zone Body construction incorporates a high-intensity cabin structure with crossmembers and reinforcements, while front and rear crumple zones help absorb impact energy before it reaches the passenger compartment.
Nissan Quest - Anti-theft System Energy-absorbing Column
Energy-absorbing steering column compresses during certain frontal impacts to help reduce the likelihood of injury.
Nissan Quest - Immobilizer Key System Side-door Guard Beams
High-strength steel side-door guard beams are welded into every door. These beams help protect you and your passengers in the event of side impacts.
Nissan Quest - Nissan Advanced Airbag System Active Front Head Restraints
These head restraints move up and forward in the event of a rear-end collision, allowing Quest’s active head restraints to help reduce whiplash-style injuries to you and your front passenger.
