Class-leading Interior Space
You see the largest interior in its class*, but look closer, and you’ll see real genius. By locating the engine far forward and extending the Versa’s wheelbase, there’s stretch-out leg room for five. By pushing the wheels to the far corners, the suspension moves out and away from the cabin, creating room a linebacker could love. The Versa interior is impressive, no matter how you look at it.

Spacious Cargo Area
Roomy enough to work with the busiest lifestyle. With your schedule, there’s always one more thing you might need to squeeze in. But thanks to Versa’s surprisingly spacious cargo area you’ll have more than enough room to transport camping gear, tools, sports equipment, or anything you’ll need for the next road trip. |
| |
| |
Double-thickness Front Seats
It's not just fingerprints that are unique. It makes sense that if you want to be really comfortable, you need a seat that appreciates your individual shape. That's why Versa's kingsize front seats feature sculpted panels for custom-fit support. And with seat bottoms made of cushy double-thickness foam, short trip or long, your shape will always arrive in great form. |
| |
| |
60/40 Fold-down Rear Seats
Versa offers 60/40 split fold-down rear seats with four different seat configurations, making it easy to carry long items with room for one or two of your friends in the rear seat. |

Standard on all Versa's, a tilt-steering column, as well as an electric rear defroster and variable intermittent windshield wipers, ensure your vision is unhindered. |

Stylish Interior
Look, but do touch. The Versa is a feast for the hands as well as the eyes. Beyond the cool, architectural look, you'll find special care was taken to give all the switches a substantial, high-quality feel. SL models take things one step further, with metallic-tone accents, special soft-touch materials throughout the cabin, and available upscale items usually found in vehicles costing much more. |
| |
| |
Triple Gauge Cluster
With a simple, elegant sense of design, sporty, easy-to-read gauges are highlighted with chrome accents. Definitely a better way to monitor Versa's outstanding fuel economy. |

| |
Steering Wheel-mounted Audio Controls
Special touches add even more character, like a grippy leather-wrapped steering wheel with cruise control and spoke-mounted audio controls*. Just another example of the level of fit and finish not expected in an Entry-Level vehicle but available in the 2007 Nissan Versa.

All-new 1.8-litre engine
Be a high roller with 750 kilometres (460 miles) between fill-ups1. Trump traffic with an all-new 1.8-litre DOHC 4-cyl. engine pumping out 122 best-in-class horsepower2 -thanks to many technologies borrowed from Nissan’s legendary VQ family of V6 engines. And with 160,000 kilometres before needing a tuneup3, you’ve got a lucky streak that just won’t quit.

Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System
Ready to play. Nissan’s variable valve timing gives Versa outstanding power when you demand it, without requiring a large, thirsty engine. Especially when combined with an efficient, easy-breathing, 4-valve-per-cylinder, double-overhead-cam design. For a smoother, quicker responding engine – just like you’d expect from a Nissan – microfinishing, a technique developed for racing, is used to reduce friction on critical engine components. |

Only-in-class 6-speed Manual Transmission
It sounds like it belongs in a sports car -maybe because it’s the only one in its class*- and you might think about buying a pair of driving gloves after a quick trip through the gears. Compared to a 5-speed, a greater number of gears allows a snappier first gear for quicker off-the-line acceleration, and a smaller rpm drop with each upshift for seamless mid-range response. And with a long-legged top gear for quieter, fuel-efficient cruising, you’ll be enthusiastic in any driving situation.

| |
| |
4-speed Automatic transmission
Smooth out your drive with the available 4-speed automatic transmission. It’s electronically controlled for velvety shifting and quick response, while the overdrive 4th gear and lockup torque converter allow lower engine rpm at highway speeds, for a quiet and fuel-efficient ride. (Available on 1.8 S.) |
| |
| |
Only-in-class Xtronic CVT™ (Continuously Variable Transmission)
The only one in its class*, this advanced transmission doesn’t just raise the bar, it elevates the entire driving experience. Its single, flexible belt creates a virtual “gearless” transmission, with no conventional fixed ratios. Put the lever in Drive and glide away. There’s no hunting for gears and no shift shock – even when going uphill. Just you enjoying enhanced fuel economy and a seamless flow of power. (Available on 1.8 SL.)

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
Versa’s advanced 4-wheel ABS system (standard on 1.8 SL, available on 1.8 S with ABS Package) is there to give confident, secure braking when you need it most. |
| |
| |
Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD)
Standard on 1.8 SL and available on 1.8 S with ABS Package, Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) adjusts brake proportioning for added weight in the rear from passengers or cargo – it even adjusts as fuel is used up. |
| |
| |
Brake Assist (BA)
Brake Assist (standard on 1.8 SL, available on 1.8 S with ABS Package) senses the need for maximum braking by monitoring how quickly the brake pedal is depressed and immediately applies maximum available power boost. |
| |
| |
Electric Power Steering
Instead of using a traditional hydraulic system, Versa offers a standard electrically assisted power steering system helping provide light effort during parking manoeuvers and firm secure feeling at higher speeds. |
| |
| |
Ripple-control Shock Absorbers
Conventional shock absorbers are quite simply designed to absorb shocks. The problem is, when they hit a bump they tend to vibrate – sending little “ripples” through the suspension that can be felt by those riding in the car. Nissan “ripple-control” shocks help damp out unwanted motions and vibrations, giving you a smoother, quieter, more-controlled ride. |

| |
Electronic Throttle, Drive by Wire
Standard on the new Nissan Versa, a sensor on the gas pedal transmits throttle position to the engine electronically, providing on-demand torque control for smoother shifting. |

Nissan Advanced Airbag System
Nissan Advanced Airbag System* (AABS) includes dual-stage supplemental front airbags with seat belt sensors and an occupant classification sensor. When deployed, the inflation rate of these dual-stage airbags adjusts depending on crash severity and seat belt usage. If the front passenger seat is empty, a sensor will deactivate the airbag.
*Airbags are only a supplemental restraint system; always wear your seat belt. Even with the occupant-classification sensor, rear-facing child restraints should not be placed in the front-passenger's seat. Also, in addition to any other requirement of applicable law, all children 12 and under should ride in the rear seat properly secured in child restraints, booster seats, or seat belts according to their size. Airbags will only inflate in certain accidents; see your owner's manual for more details. Inflated airbags shown for illustration purposes only. Actual airbags deflate after deployment. |
| |
| |
Side-impact airbags
Standard on all Versa's Side-impact supplemental airbags are built into the front seat, so they move with you. Roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental airbags help provide side-impact and rollover head protection for front and rear-seat outboard occupants. |
| |
| |
Zone Body Construction
Zone Body construction incorporates a high-intensity cabin structure with crossmembers and reinforcements. Front and rear crumple zones help absorb impact energy before it reaches the passenger compartment. Energy-absorbing steering column compresses during certain frontal impacts to help reduce the likelihood of injury. |
| |
| |
Hood Buckling Creases
Hood buckling creases allow the hood to buckle at predetermined points, helping prevent it from intruding into the passenger compartment in certain frontal impacts. |
| |
| |
Active front-seat head restraints
Versa’s standard active front-seat head restraints move up and forward in the event of a rear-end collision, helping reduce the chances of whiplash-type injuries to front-seat passengers. |
| |
| |
LATCH System
LATCH System. Yet another way we’re working to help keep children safe. The Versa LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) System lets you secure LATCH-compatible child restraints in the rear seat without having to use seat belts or a locking clip. |

Anti-theft System
Standard in the 1.8 SL model, the Anti-theft System flashes the headlights and sounds the horn your Versa if there's any attempt to open the doors or hood without a key, or remove key cylinders. You can also push the panic button on the keyfob to sound the alarm for 20 seconds. |
| |
| |
Nissan Safety Shield
Its beauty is much more than skin deep. The Nissan Safety Shield Safety is our comprehensive approach to safety. It includes rigorous crash testing, over 50 standard safety features on every vehicle, advanced technologies, and child-safety programs like Snug Kids.® In Versa, active front-seat head restraints and an Advanced Airbag System, including side-impact supplemental airbags and roof-mounted curtain sideimpact airbags – all standard – are confidence-inspiring examples of our safety philosophy in action. |

Immobilizer Key System
The Immobilizer Key System makes it almost impossible for anyone to steal your car without your actual key. A microchip inside the key sends a signal telling the engine to start. Without the key, the chip, and the signal, your Versa won't start. |
